Awards & Recognitions

Since its founding in 1997, Sun Holdings has experienced an annual growth rate of 50 percent. The Company and its CEO and President, Guillermo Perales, have been awarded many prizes and recognition by different magazines and business leader organizations.

Latino Leaders magazine has honored him several times on their annual “101 List” as one of the most influential Latinos in the nation. He has also been selected as “Entrepreneur of the Year” by highly regarded firms and organizations such as Ernst & Young, Asociacion de Empresarion Mexicanos, TAMACC, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the International Franchise Association. PODER Magazine showcased Perales as one of the country’s “Top Hispanic Entrepreneurs” and Al Dia recognized him as their “Man of the Year”.

In recent years, Sun Holdings climbed the “Mega 99 Rankings” by Multi-Unit Franchisee from #4 in 2019 to #3 in 2021 to the number 2 position in 2022.  This year, 1851 Franchise Magazine also ranked Sun Holdings in the top 175 Global Franchise Influencers.

On each such occasion, as with his accolade by Nation’s Restaurant News and their prestigious 2016 Golden Chain Award, Perales is always quick to turn the spotlight away from himself and onto his senior executives and tens of thousands of employees who move Sun Holdings forward every day.
